SCOPE
Early diagnosis of cancer is vital for ensuring patients have the widest range of treatments available and best chance of survival. PLOS ONE is calling for submissions for a new Collection on Early Detection, Screening and Diagnosis of Cancer. This Call for Papers aims to explore recent advances in the early detection of cancer. We are also interested in exploring how the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted cancer early detection.
We encourage the submission of preclinical, translational and clinical studies on all aspects of research into the early detection, diagnosis and screening of cancer. All article types in scope for PLOS ONE are welcomed, and we particularly encourage the submission of protocols (Registered Report Protocols, Study Protocols and Lab Protocols). We expect research utilizing bioinformatics-based approaches to be validated in an appropriate clinical or preclinical setting.
