Diagnostics play a critical role in ensuring Universal Health Care, and the COVID 19 pandemic has shone a spotlight in how these essential tools are inequitably distributed and deployed throughout the world. With this Call for Papers, we will feature new, exciting research that has the potential to tip the scales towards health access - and health equity.
SCOPE

Diagnostics play a critical role in the delivery of equitable access to Universal Health Care, and the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has underlined the urgency of available, accessible, affordable diagnostics to be deployed globally. PLOS Global Public Health is calling for submissions for a new Diagnostics in Global Health studies.

This call for papers aims to highlight the importance of all forms of diagnostics in the context of global health, including the innovation and deployment of point of care diagnostics; subsets of diagnostics related to infectious diseases, chronic diseases and injuries; policies related to and regulation of diagnostics; supply chain issues; and the affordability, accessibility, and availability of essential diagnostics.
