SCOPE

The increasing integration of networking technology and smart automation into industry and manufacturing is considered by many to characterize a fourth industrial revolution – Industry 4.0. PLOS ONE is delighted to announce a call for papers on New Supply Chain Technologies. The ‘Internet of Things’ is a cluster of enabling technologies in wireless sensor networks, radio frequency identification, and data management that combine to digitally connect physical objects into cyber-physical systems.

This call for papers aims to showcase the latest research in the development and use of Internet of Things devices, in their networking and communication, and in their new knowledge generation capabilities, towards solving challenges in, and related to, supply chain management. We welcome submissions to this call of any article type in scope for PLOS ONE – research articles, lab protocols, study protocols, registered report protocols and registered reports.
