PLOS Genetics: 10th Anniversary

Curated Collections

2015 marks the tenth anniversary of PLOS Genetics and brings with it a host of celebrations to mark this momentous occasion. This collection exhibits some of the best research PLOS Genetics has had the privilege to publish over the past decade. The bulk of the collection is the PLOS Genetics 'Top Ten'- the ten most downloaded articles from the past ten years. It leads with an editorial from the Editors in Chief Gregory Barsh and Gregory Copenhaver, which introduces the other articles in the collection and recounts ten reasons to contribute to a community-run journal. The editorial is followed by a series of commentaries from experts in the respective fields, in which they outline why they think these articles have been so important. This collection highlights two aspects PLOS Genetics values greatly - community involvement and excellent research.
