Genomic Imprinting and Epigenetic Regulation: A Tribute to Denise Barlow

Curated Collections

The work of Denise Barlow revolutionised the field of epigenetics. She spent the majority of her career identifying and studying the mechanistic regulation of the Igf2r imprinted gene cluster and as a result uncovered Airn, the first example of lncRNA playing a direct role in controlling the imprinted expression of neighbouring genes. Her work continues to inspire scientists to this day. This collection collates a series of articles focusing on the areas of genetic imprinting, epigenetics, and development as a tribute to her life and work.
