Historical Profiles and Perspectives

Curated Collections

To commemorate the Fifth Anniversary of the launch of PLOS Neglected Tropical Diseases, we have begun collecting a number of "Historical Profiles and Perspectives" articles which will be appearing here over the next few months. As we reflect on the accomplishments within the NTDs community over the last five years, we would like to acknowledge and pay tribute to the pioneering work done by key members and institutions in the NTDs research community. Each Historical Profile and Perspective spotlights an individual researcher or institution that has contributed significantly to progress within the field. Key themes included are major accomplishments, challenges encountered, and lessons learned.
