Neurodegenerative Disease Research

Curated Collections

The Neurodegenerative Disease Research section of the PLOS Neuroscience Collection includes a selection of research articles published in PLOS journals since 2014. Neurodegenerative diseases are incurable and debilitating conditions that result from progressive degeneration and/or death of nerve cells and cause problems with movement or mental functioning. This section is divided into five subsections, including General Neurodegenerative Disease, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, Multiple Sclerosis and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). PLOS welcomes submissions in these fields.
